An important facet of this Office is the (inter)connection with the Industry and the rest factors of production on national, European and international level. The purpose is the advancement of collaboration and of the commercial exploitation of AUA‘s research results.

The fields of industry, with which AUA‘s research activity is, directly or indirectly, connected cover a wide range of the agri-food sector as well as the environmental consequences of bio-systems. It’s all about potentially generating levers of sustainable development with competing products and services.

Interconnection acts pertain to continuous contact with Agro-industrial sector business in order to achieve agreements for the exploitation of research results and possibly the creation of entrepreneurial plans. Specific aims:

• Connecting with businesses’ Research and Development offices which needs could be fulfilled by the AUA utilizing various source funding including the interested company.
• Strengthening the bonds between AUA staff and the business community in order to cultivate a connection between the University and the labour market.
